The Great Lakes Crossing mall has over 150 stores and a 25 screen movie theater. There are plenty of outdoor recreational activities in and near Auburn Hills. Within a short drive are a number of ski resorts, golf courses, fishing areas, picnic facilities, and swimming spots. There are also over a 1000 lakes. The Palace of Auburn Hills is home to the Detroit Pistons. The Detroit Zoological Park is also a great place to take the family.

At the Daimler-Chrysler headquarters, the Walter P. Chrysler Museum offers a look at this company's history and contribution to auto making.
